I am a 21 year old girl and originally from Sweden, I moved to the UK a couple of years ago after my graduation to try something new. It’s been exciting and I feel that I’ve learned much from this.
I have just finished my first year of studies for BA (HONS) Graphic Design. The course is all I’m looking for; design is my passion!
I’ve now applied to transfer to your university since it is closer to me and I feel that I would have more time to focus on my studies and develop my skills when transferred.
About the creative part of myself:
I’ve always been a very creative person. One of the best things I learned in uni the past year was to keep a journal since it makes it easier to get ideas down quickly with a brief description. Growing up I was always very keen on learning new things and I'm a quick learner. I've developed a very good attention to details throughout the years as I feel that it all comes down to the small things in making a design appealing and this is where patience comes in to the picture, which I've got a lot of.
I think it's important to be flexible and have a lot of ideas or "plan B's", especially if you get stuck as you can then go back and see if you need to start all over or if you can solve the issue with the help of the earlier ideas. This is were a journal comes in handy, it is a good way of sketching ideas down quickly and maybe write down some small notes.
I've also applied for a fully online-based distance course in psychology, at a Swedish institute. I think understanding how people think/see things differently is very important in developing good designs.
Thanks for reading and please view images below; I'm looking forward to hearing from you in the near future.
ps. Tried my best to get as much "project developing"-images as I could, I submitted my sketches in project journals for uni, so that is why I dont have much. But I had some of them scanned in...
